Why this exists

We got tired of the guesswork

We build AI platforms for a living. Which means every week someone asks us the same questions. Who else is doing AI in South Africa? What does it cost? Is it legal under POPIA? Will it eat my job?

The answers online were thin: pay-to-play directories stuffed with offshore firms, cost guides with no rand amounts, legal commentary written for other lawyers. So we did the research ourselves and published it. All of it, sources included.

If you are an AI company we missed, tell us and we will add you. If you are a business trying to figure out your AI move, the tools above will get you 80% of the way. We are happy to argue about the last 20%.
